Analyzing Waste Incineration and Covid19 in New York City
Incineration was once the most common form of waste disposal in New York City. Waste incineration has been associated with higher rates of respiratory illness. During a semester-long class, I utilized GIS to analyze the relationship between the locations of waste incinerators and incidence and outcomes of Covid in New York City.
